That being said, lamp projectors are bright and they can provide you with a more than acceptable picture quality. Mini projectors are projectors small enough to hold easily in one hand. They're incredibly portable, but they're not as bright nor do they look as good as their larger counterparts. Overall, we like the AAXA P8 for its low size and high performance for its category. The Vimgo P10's price fluctuates between $170 and $270, in the same ballpark as our favorite cheap projector, the AAXA P8. It's a lot larger than the P8, the largest cheap projector we've tested actually, making it far less portable.
Most projectors are either LCD-based or use a Texas Instruments DLP chip along with a laser, LED, or LCOS light source. The Nebula Capsule has an attractive cylinder design and excellent build and image quality of 848 x 480. What it lacks in brightness and sharpness, it makes up for with convenience. Strangely, the Epson EF-100 is more impressive during the day than at night and is most suited for those who want to set up their own drive-thru cinema or film-night while camping.

The GS50 is a bright, battery-powered Android TV projector with lots of connection options. The more durable, weatherproof design makes it good for outdoor use. It works in spaces other projectors can’t, producing a 100-inch image with only a couple feet of space.
The fact is, you just don't get TV-level performance for that kind of money. The Epson Home Cinema LS11000 is similar to the Epson 5050 but instead of a lamp it uses a laser and phosphor combo to create light. This means even better color, no lamp replacements, faster turn on/off and a more usable dynamic contrast ratio.

You also have the option of portable screens, which can either pop up or inflate, which are useful for travel or camping. They are a lot of fun, but their screens can sometimes be prone to wrinkling, since they fold up when not in use. Just like TVs, most require some kind of input such as a streaming dongle, Blu-Ray player or gaming system. Also like TVs, some of them are smart and have their own operating systems and apps. Thanks to the HDMI outputs which allows easy connection to your tablet, smartphone or even the laptop. Apparently, it is more fantastic than other since it supports miracast and Intel WIDI. Another feature that you won’t fail to appreciate is the image enhancement plus the frame interpolation. LCD projectors generally provide a much sharper image than DLP products too and many people consider their picture quality to be superior to DLP projectors. Again this is very technical, but just know that it provides a much better picture, and if possible you should get a model that has 3 chip technology.

It’s the best product on this list, but at over $700, it’s not exactly cheap. Projector resolution works similarly to the resolution of your TV or your computer. The more pixels it has, the crisper and clearer the image will be. As such, you should always get a projector with the highest resolution you can afford. If you’re going to mainly be watching movies you should at least aim for a 1080p product to give you a true cinema-like experience.
